A Message from CEO Brian Jackson

Loving Care is more than a phrase, it’s what we stand for. At Pediatric Associates, “Loving Care” means our valued customers, the communities we serve, and our 1,500 team members across the state providing you with access to safe, affordable care. That’s as true today as it will be tomorrow. I wanted to share with you some of the actions we are taking to ensure you can have a visit in our offices with confidence, and that Pediatric Associates will continue to be there for you when you need us.

As a healthcare provider, Pediatric Associates was impacted early in the arc of the Coronavirus / COVID-19 outbreak. As events canceled and popular destinations closed across the country, a need to protect our patients and staff led our decision making process first and foremost. We had reduced our in-office visits to predominately well and shifted most of our sick to telemedicine, all while working to secure appropriate PPE amidst a national shortage. We thank you for your understanding as those changes impacted a great deal of you. As we have now secured  the necessary protective gear for our staff, we are prepared to resume sick visits with the expectation we will see patients who have likely been exposed to or infected with the Coronavirus.

We have adjusted our templates to well only and sick only sessions. Well and non-viral visits will be scheduled during morning sessions only, most days of the week. Sick visits that include symptoms such as fever, cough, diarrhea and upper respiratory illness will be scheduled in the afternoon at every location. If a particular visit is not available at your home office you may be offered an appointment at a nearby office.

Temporarily reducing our after hours and expanding our telemedicine evening hours schedule enables us to best ensure we can support your child’s needs, the livelihoods of our team members and the communities we serve. We know that our ability to continue providing care is critical in many of the communities that have been hit hardest. In many areas, our presence means compassion and comfort and we are as committed to local recovery as we are to serving our patients.

Please know that your health and safety and that of our team members is, as always, our top priority. We are in constant contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and other authorities, following all current guidance. Our in-office cleaning program has been amped up to ensure all surfaces are disinfected to the highest possible standard.

We will keep you informed of all new developments. But please know that our team continues to be committed to your care and that of your child(ren) – now, and in the future. We are all in this together.
